Assistance in finding a vocational training (préPAI / vorINVOL)

Practical information

Target group

The target group for this measure is the same as for the pre-apprenticeship for refugees and migrants : 

• Asylum migrants: F, B and S permits  
• Non-asylum migrants: B and C permits 

In both cases, people enrolling in the préPAI / vorINVOL get to improve their language skills which is a requirement for their professional project. 

• Language level : A1-A2 minimum 
• Age : between 16 and 35 

Important: people enrolling for this measure must be ready to begin searching for a training position, followed by a pre-apprenticeship for refugees and migrants/apprenticeship (not a job search).  

This program complements the existing offers in the training search support scheme, mainly for people who are not entitled to or do not have the language level (B1) for a motivational semester, or who, at the end of a motivational semester, have not found a training position.   

Content of the offer

• School teaching : language, general knowledge and mathematics classes, spread over 2 days; 
• Assistance with applications: coaching and permanence in the computer room;
• Work placements : in addition to time spent in school, students are expected to complete several work placements with assistance of coaches; 

Duration

1 semester, from mid-January to the end of June

Costs

Taxes relating to school costs and supplies: Fr. 45 per school year. Non-refundable in the event of interruption. 

Admission requirements

• Search for a training position for the following year (a pre-apprenticeship for refugees and migrants or an AFP / EBA, CFC / EFZ) 
• Commitment to active participation in the search for training places 

! A préPAI / vorINVOL registration does not systematically guarantee a place in a measure (limited number of places). 

Admission process

• Registration using the online form (autumn) 
• Interview with the préPAI team (December) 
• School test - language level (January)
